Smithview Pavilion is a wedding and event venue located in Maryville, TN. Experience the beauty of the Smoky Mountains, while being conveniently located near restaurants, hotels, and the Knoxville airport. The pavilion allows for an open-air reception that is protected from the elements and the unpredictable Tennessee weather. String lights, wooden chandeliers, and greenery are sophisticatedly hung from the ceiling and add to the ambiance of your reception. A real wood-burning fireplace is the focal point of the pavilion, and our staff is happy to assist by providing fire starters and firewood during your event during the cooler months. All set up and breakdown of tables and chairs are expertly handled by our team, so that is one less thing for you to do on the day of your wedding. White chairs are included in your package, but you can request to upgrade to our fruitwood chairs to elevate the look of your wedding reception.

Requirements -
The cove is one of our most popular ceremony locations chosen by our couples. Hidden back in the trees by the creek, the cove serves as a quiet and magical setting for your wedding ceremony. A wooden arbor has strategically been placed by the creek and can be decorated to your liking. Many couples choose to have our sister company, Flower Shop, create an arbor piece using fresh flowers to decorate for the ceremony. Others have used eucalyptus or drapery to decorate the arbor. The choice is yours and the options are limitless. Our team sets up and breaks down the ceremony chairs based on your specifications, as planned with the office team prior to your wedding.
Smithview Pavilion wedding packages all come with access to two climate-controlled suites for getting ready. The primary suite is located in Smithview Pavilion and includes plenty of mirrors and seating for getting ready, a small refrigerator for beverages, a rack to hang dresses, and a hook to hang the bridal gown. This suite also has access to the women’s restroom through a connecting door. The secondary suite is located in Hampton Hall, which is near the front of the Smith campus. This suite has plenty of tables and chairs, a rack to hang suits, access to a refrigerator and ice maker, and corn hole. Bathrooms are conveniently located just down the hall. Many of our couples comment that they love the separation of our two suites because there is no chance that the couple will accidentally see each other before their first look or ceremony!
The brick patio is a lovely extension that adds to the usable space for you and your guests at Smithview Pavilion. Located along the creek, this patio can be used in a variety of ways to make your wedding unique. It can be the location for your wedding ceremony with 100 guests or less, or it can be used as a cocktail area or a dance floor. Cocktail tables with accent-color cloths or a champagne wall are also beautiful additions that can make this space distinctive and special for your guests.
Brown’s Creek Bridge is a gem that is located on our property. It is a historic bridge that was used to travel from Maryville to Townsend. When you choose to have your wedding at Smithview Pavilion, you also have access to Brown’s Creek Bridge. Utilize our golf cart that is included with your wedding package to travel over to the bridge for your emotional “first look” or enchanted bride and groom photos. Gather your bridal party for stunning group shots. Choose a photographer with a drone to really capture some jaw-dropping photos. The bridge is the perfect backdrop for unique photos that will create gorgeous memories of your wedding day that you’ll cherish forever.
